Christmas at John Lewis with The Essex Barn

John Lewis is my absolute favourite department store and we’ve been shopping here as a family for decades – literally! – so it was very exciting this week to spend a morning with the Home Design team at the John Lewis Cambridge store discussing an exciting project that we’re going to be working on in the run up to Christmas – more on this very soon!

While I was there I couldn’t resist having a good nosey around their new Christmas department packed full of lovely festive goodies. From Christmas trees to lights, baubles to ornaments there’s something for all tastes and with five new themes this year you can’t fail to be wowed by at least one of them (I love them all!).

If you follow my new blog – The Joy Chaser – then you’ll already know my love for the live broadcasting platform Periscope and I took the opportunity to do a live interview with Sandra McCall from the Home Design team as she chatted to me about Christmas at John Lewis.

NB. If you’re not familiar with Periscope then I apologise for the shaky camera, slightly blurred images and soft voices….and fast forward to 30 seconds in if you’re short of time! It’s seat-of-your-pants fun but a very new channel and we’re all getting to grips with it! (Incidentally if you’re interested in giving Periscope a go, take a look at my Bloggers Guide to Periscope over at The Joy Chaser with everything you need to know to get started.)

Are you getting excited about Christmas? Do you pick a theme or just go with the festive flow?

Never miss a post at The Essex Barn

I love Christmas decorations 🙂 I don’t go with a theme, I have all sorts of different things, I think it keeps it fun 🙂 Thanks for hosting #ShareTheJoy

I love the combination of different decorations that we’ve collected over time too – no theme can be a theme in itself!
